URBANLeap: parkour teaches you to be sure of what you are able to do

PeoErasmus+, URBANLeap

Parkour has grown fast. More gyms, more classes, more young people training. What is missing is a shared way to teach it: many great coaches, many different methods, very little written down. That is where URBANLeap comes from: a European Erasmus+ Sport project (Cooperation Partnership no. 101185120) that started on 1 January 2025 and brings together six organisations from four countries until December 2026.

On 8 March the partners met for the kick-off in Nedelišće, Croatia, hosted by the coordinator (read the report by GK Brezovica).

What we will do

  • A research study on how parkour is taught in Europe, with the voice of the coaches’ community.
  • The Parkour Trainer Handbook, a free manual for coaches: technique, step-by-step progressions, safety, working with children and teenagers, training plans.
  • Three events in 2026, in Croatia, Italy and Bulgaria, to bring parkour to the streets and let people try it for the first time.

KRAP’s role

We lead the work package on the events: we organise the Italian event, coordinate the three events and write the final report on them. We bring the experience of our coaches into the research and we will use the Handbook in our classes, in Italy and abroad.
